VIZIO XVT473SV 47-inch Class Full Array TruLED LCD HDTV 240 Hz SPS with VIZIO Internet Apps

Be sure to see our update below this review:
5 stars when it was purchased. (Nov 2010)
1 or 0 stars now, four months later. (End of March 2011)
Now only 4 stars due to the update that makes the screen go black for the first 3-4 months. (July 2011)

We were looking for a new TV for a while, thinking I would go with a 47 "LCD. But then he happened to see some new LED TVs, which led us to an entirely new mission. And that's where it ends. With the Vizio xvt473sv . The picture is just fabulous. I can not begin to emphasize that. There are young by any stretch of the imagination. 3D does not interest us. (It is very funny in the theater, but t do not want you home.) But this is reality TV, LED backlight with the truth (not just border lighting) and is also excellent for viewing.

Images are sharp and clear. Like when you're in the eye doctor and says, "What is better, A or B" For B and obvious that it is the best I've seen? Well folks, this is television. No joke.

Only it had during the week, so I can not yet comment on applications online. Everything else is now on - sorry, we work and have a limited time only at night - but so far everything works perfectly. Our boom was discovering that we have HD channels for free because this TV has a tuner quam. I'm not a nerd technology and I have no idea what it is but what he said was nice. (And because it is so new that we had to make our own list of HD channels, because we live in the ass in the world and the people of our cable has a list of our area.) I'm complaining? No way!

My first criticism, and only this TV is that when you join a channel on the remote Bluetooth, it takes about 4-5 seconds for the TV to go to that channel. That's annoying. Vizio will surely come up with a solution to this soon. (Vizio Are you listening?)

But I say when you reach the canal, you forget that without problems because the picture is so amazing. It's like that person in the picture in the room with you. It seems that the real. The colors are beautiful. Bright and vibrant!

TV will not turn on their base, but it is so big, I can not imagine needing to turn. Tonight we saw the CMA Awards in a non-HD channel. And the image was still impressive. I can not wait to see a college football this weekend.

When we get the Internet working, I'll be back with an update of this review. Meanwhile, go for it. You will not regret. This LED is television for all others are compared. Seriously. He is fabulous!

2 weeks later: I want to add more comments. My DH has been downloaded several "applications" and are easy and intuitive to use. Incidentally, this is not like a computer screen. VIZIO configured to download "apps" to prevent viruses from entering your nice new TV. And it was very helpful when I called their customer service number to ask some questions before you buy this TV. I still love him. The picture is incredible. Literally, the detail you can see with it is just amazing.

4 months later: We are having problems with the TV off only half a show. Literally. Let's look at a program and then zap, black screen. This has been ongoing for the past three months. We call customer service, went through the process of resetting and again. So far we have the photo backup, the show is over and we lost. Now get this: Vizio tells me this is a known problem with this model of TV. They say that television is recalculated to optimal performance. This is a joke. They know about the problem. They do not have a solution for it. There is no solution. And yet, still selling the TV?

It's a big disappointment. The image is beautiful. Everything I have said above is true about the features and watch TV. It is wonderful - when it works. We spend a lot of money on this TV only to be stuck with a lemon? Policy and customer service is absolutely horrible VIZIO. Oh their representatives are good but can do nothing.

May 29, 2011 UPDATE: In the past two months, the TV has no "dark" anymore. Perhaps Vizio stopped sending updates computer chip that caused the blackout? (You may read my analysis ?)... this particular form of any "blackout" problem of the left ... for now. That said, I'll keep the updates so that readers know. Honestly, we still like the look of this TV - the image is clear, sharp and clear. The TV does not suck energy. The applications are easy to use. So time will tell how this plays out.

July 2, 2011 UPDATE: To be fair, since March 2011, the TV did not faint more. And honestly, we had no problems with it. So if you are willing to be patient and spend the first few months, knowing that occasionally can "black" is an awesome TV for the money. One thing to know when the black, let it be. The signal will flash Vizio below. Wait until it's done. I think that's when you are updating. It may take a minute or two to finish flashing. The screen will be black during this time. Then the TV turns off by itself. (The Vizio signal stops flashing.) Now you can turn it back on and everything should be fine. If you mess with it while it is flashing, you may need to call customers and ask Vizio assistance to guide you through the process of re-boot. Good luck - I hope this has helped.
