VIZIO VF552XVT 55-Inch Class XVT Series TRULED 240Hz sps LED LCD VIZIO Internet Apps HDTV

Well, first things first: This is not a Samsung LED 8800 series. Take it right to the head. Now this is a series of Vizio XVT offering a series of stretching U.S. dollar for what you get.

As mentioned, the remote control leaves much to be desired. Fragile, awkward, yes, probably * can use a backlight (not breaking an agreement by all means, but it would be good). The keyboard is a wonderful touch, I just wish they spent more time in the hinge.

The audio is an acceptable match anything change at all. It offers a very rich surround sound, but it would be better served with a separate sound system. Very anemic sound games, live sports sounds very, very good. That's exactly what you'd expect from 15-watt speakers HDTV.

Therefore, you fight without a 240Hz, LED, 55''HDTV image, something else. Let's do it. That's incredible. Yes you can, as I mentioned earlier, spend thousands more and get a better picture, evil. There is absolutely no sacrifice to this monitor, which does all that and keeps you "oooh'ing" and "awwe'ing" all night. I struggled for weeks about what would be best for my money. Providing the best experience, which gives me the least amount of buyers remorse (hey, spending that amount of money these days it hurts!). This product delivered with all my heart.

Everything else is icing on the cake offers huge! The applications are fantastic, especially the integration of Yahoo ... Netflix and oh, how can you forget Netflix? My 360 will feel alone, just play with it = P

If you're on the fence, I can not really give you anything to influence one way or another, but in reality, this level of consumer electronics, you will get nothing * bad, just some better others. This is one that is much better than others, according to very, very few.

VIZIO XVT473SV 47-inch Class Full Array TruLED LCD HDTV 240 Hz SPS with VIZIO Internet Apps

Be sure to see our update below this review:
5 stars when it was purchased. (Nov 2010)
1 or 0 stars now, four months later. (End of March 2011)
Now only 4 stars due to the update that makes the screen go black for the first 3-4 months. (July 2011)

We were looking for a new TV for a while, thinking I would go with a 47 "LCD. But then he happened to see some new LED TVs, which led us to an entirely new mission. And that's where it ends. With the Vizio xvt473sv . The picture is just fabulous. I can not begin to emphasize that. There are young by any stretch of the imagination. 3D does not interest us. (It is very funny in the theater, but t do not want you home.) But this is reality TV, LED backlight with the truth (not just border lighting) and is also excellent for viewing.

Images are sharp and clear. Like when you're in the eye doctor and says, "What is better, A or B" For B and obvious that it is the best I've seen? Well folks, this is television. No joke.

Only it had during the week, so I can not yet comment on applications online. Everything else is now on - sorry, we work and have a limited time only at night - but so far everything works perfectly. Our boom was discovering that we have HD channels for free because this TV has a tuner quam. I'm not a nerd technology and I have no idea what it is but what he said was nice. (And because it is so new that we had to make our own list of HD channels, because we live in the ass in the world and the people of our cable has a list of our area.) I'm complaining? No way!

My first criticism, and only this TV is that when you join a channel on the remote Bluetooth, it takes about 4-5 seconds for the TV to go to that channel. That's annoying. Vizio will surely come up with a solution to this soon. (Vizio Are you listening?)

But I say when you reach the canal, you forget that without problems because the picture is so amazing. It's like that person in the picture in the room with you. It seems that the real. The colors are beautiful. Bright and vibrant!

TV will not turn on their base, but it is so big, I can not imagine needing to turn. Tonight we saw the CMA Awards in a non-HD channel. And the image was still impressive. I can not wait to see a college football this weekend.

When we get the Internet working, I'll be back with an update of this review. Meanwhile, go for it. You will not regret. This LED is television for all others are compared. Seriously. He is fabulous!

2 weeks later: I want to add more comments. My DH has been downloaded several "applications" and are easy and intuitive to use. Incidentally, this is not like a computer screen. VIZIO configured to download "apps" to prevent viruses from entering your nice new TV. And it was very helpful when I called their customer service number to ask some questions before you buy this TV. I still love him. The picture is incredible. Literally, the detail you can see with it is just amazing.

4 months later: We are having problems with the TV off only half a show. Literally. Let's look at a program and then zap, black screen. This has been ongoing for the past three months. We call customer service, went through the process of resetting and again. So far we have the photo backup, the show is over and we lost. Now get this: Vizio tells me this is a known problem with this model of TV. They say that television is recalculated to optimal performance. This is a joke. They know about the problem. They do not have a solution for it. There is no solution. And yet, still selling the TV?

It's a big disappointment. The image is beautiful. Everything I have said above is true about the features and watch TV. It is wonderful - when it works. We spend a lot of money on this TV only to be stuck with a lemon? Policy and customer service is absolutely horrible VIZIO. Oh their representatives are good but can do nothing.

May 29, 2011 UPDATE: In the past two months, the TV has no "dark" anymore. Perhaps Vizio stopped sending updates computer chip that caused the blackout? (You may read my analysis ?)... this particular form of any "blackout" problem of the left ... for now. That said, I'll keep the updates so that readers know. Honestly, we still like the look of this TV - the image is clear, sharp and clear. The TV does not suck energy. The applications are easy to use. So time will tell how this plays out.

July 2, 2011 UPDATE: To be fair, since March 2011, the TV did not faint more. And honestly, we had no problems with it. So if you are willing to be patient and spend the first few months, knowing that occasionally can "black" is an awesome TV for the money. One thing to know when the black, let it be. The signal will flash Vizio below. Wait until it's done. I think that's when you are updating. It may take a minute or two to finish flashing. The screen will be black during this time. Then the TV turns off by itself. (The Vizio signal stops flashing.) Now you can turn it back on and everything should be fine. If you mess with it while it is flashing, you may need to call customers and ask Vizio assistance to guide you through the process of re-boot. Good luck - I hope this has helped.

VIZIO XVT553SV 55-Inch Class Full Array TruLED with Smart Dimming LCD HDTV 240 Hz SPS with VIZIO Internet Apps

First, my criticism is of the same, not the Amazon, once bought this TV at Wal Mart.

- Setup and configure -

With so many features offered by the television I thought this can be overwhelming to establish outside the box - it is not. It guides you step by step instructions on things such as synchronizing the remote control with cable / satellite receiver, configure the network to use "widgets" (or applications), etc. I was up and running, literally 10 minutes.

- Image quality -

Qualioty The picture is incredible. I searched Google for "image adjustments XVT553SV" and uses the configuration that is a forum for discussion CNET [...], but added my own settings, as they turn the light a little, and XBOX 360 for me entry in turn improve color to "normal." The colors are very rich, black levels are incredible, and you have connected the smart blur, and there is little or no "lock" or pixelation when fast-moving scenes such as waterfalls and explosions in movies.

- "Smart Dimming" local dimming -

While the image is certainly great, has some problems. There are some "blooming" or halos around objects that are white, white on black background. I just saw on the screens of slow or stationary, such as changing inputs and there is a black screen with a "no entry selected" message in white in the center of the screen. It is also more evident as the wider viewing angles. Of course, this is a product of local regulation of films (Smart darkening), but in all honesty, I never notice it when watching TV, playing video games or watching. You realize how fast the screen can be BLACK. I have an LCD TV and a 720p DLP 1080p TV and not approach the levels of black in this Vizio with intelligent regulation. When the screen goes black, it seems that the TV is off! Not so smart blur is off.

- Built-smooth -

Any TV with 120Hz (this is actually a TV scanning backlight of 120 Hz by creating a "240Hz" as affect) the "smooth" feature can make the film shows / movies look strange. It was widely described as a "novel" effect, and makes even beautifully filmed / edited shows / movies look as if filmed with a video camera. Panoramic camera seems shaky movements, popular ones are super soft, but it seems that you are there during the shoot, which is not good. Simply turn off Smooth Motion is looking nothing like movies, or film-like TV reality shows are not, sports, etc. with smooth look amazing on high. The animation and CGI animation films show / look amazing with gentle movements.

- Game Vizio -

I play an Xbox 360, and some types of delay can be noticeable when the TV game. Not with this Vizio. I can play many games of first-person shooter games, type of music requires a perfect synchronization of the entries of the type of musical instrument drivers, and motion-based games that Kinect also require perfect timing. Everything is fine on this TV. The image quality is best I've seen the Xbox 360 to play any TV I've seen / owned.

- Sound -

Surprisingly, as well a set of speakers sound pretty darned good. Personally, I turned my speakers, and use the Vizio remote control (I'll reach for the remote control itself) to adjust the volume on my receiver and use the larger speakers. This not only gives me more quality, but saves me from blowing the speakers smaller Vizio on the road as one of my other flat screen TVs in the past.

- Tickets -

Tickets are abundant with this Vizio with HDMIs dominant. I know that component cables are on track, but has only one component in the (video input cable 5 with red / green / blue and white audio / red) may require to buy a switching device that has a component becomes three, as in this link that can be [...] $ 45.00 or more depending on quality.

The possibility of introducing the usual name (instead of "game" or generic "cable") is a nice touch. You can have "cable box" or "Direct TV" or "XBOX360" or "PS3", etc etc. For those who have, literally, five HDMI devices connected that keeps things much more organized in menus.

- Remote control -

This can be a polarizing topic of this TV. I love the remote control. It feels a bit "cheaper" because of the sliding part is not really 100% solid when not in use, but does not bother me. Being Bluetooth Remote to control the TV without anywhnere points near the TV, actually, I can control the TV in another room entirely if desired. The remote also connected to my cable box and stereo system in a very simple menu that asks "what model" which is then checked yes and asked to perform a function of the device, click "yes it worked" or "try this code," and both worked on my first try.

The slide out QWERTY keyboard is not perfect, but great. The top row of buttons can be blocked by the fixed distance, but it's better than not having a QWERTY keyboard at all. It seems like a necessity when using widgets / applications such as Facebook, Twitter, Netflix (makes it easier), etc.

- Widgets / Internet Applications -

What I can say? I do not know how we did without them before. Right out of the box, Yahoo news, weather, sports, fantasy football (update statistics in real time while watching television) Pandora Internet radio, Blockbuster On Demand, Hulu Plus, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon movie on demand, and many more. I can see my local time, or any number of custom-set cities around the world. Curiously, XBOX ask your friends in England, who are enjoying their current conditions, when the chat.

After another firmware update (second from Christmas) only have more widgets, but the interface for the current (Netflix for example) has been improved. Good to know that is not resting on its laurels when it comes to applications.

The wireless connection is very strong. It will automatically detect our wireless network, and works so well that they have not gotten into the attic to run a dedicated ethernet cable, as planned. I can stream Netflix as well (maybe better?) So I can with my ethernet cable XBOX 360! I had to pause / still slow movie / game due to internet speed / connection! This is also a G wireless router too, and not the router N. extravagant

*** NOTICE OF THREE / apps INDEPENDENT !!!***

I discovered that at least a third application, independent was the cause of my TV off, and I will go on a "standby" mode. The point is explained in the next section. I would stay away from applications do not become big business. The exact name of the application is "1337 owner" and is published by a company called BrickSimple.

- Problems and Vizio customer service -

With all the great things I said about this TV, which had some bugs to solve. First the TV turns off automatically after 10 hours (hey that's what I did!) And then the Vizio logo that flashes orange / white in the same way it does when it receives a firmware update. After a few days of this I was about to change the TV for another like him, but decided to contact Vizio support first customer. Through a series of messages to a real person in a chat in real time on the Vizio site, we created a phone call with a "level 3" high technology to see if we could solve the problem. We have a "memory erasing" procedure and the problem has been corrected. A true human being in the United States, who spoke perfect English has not only helped me solve the problem, but also walked me through resetting all my settings and I talked about some features not know.

*** UPDATE ***

I found the true source of the problems of my stop - APP PART THREE bad!

It was only after I added a third-party application to track friends on Xbox LIVE (the exact name of the application is "own 1337" and is published by a company called BrickSimple) made the TV is off topics. I was able to understand when it is back to add the exact application of the TV (I never said that after "fix" techniques Vizio TV phone) this week, so who knows? Random closed Vizio logo blinking! I deleted the application, and once again television works perfectly as it should. Vizio Technology When I entered the remainder is eliminated any application not in television, including an XBox. That's why "fix" on TV!

- GENERAL -

I could not be happier with this purchase. I know nobody likes to spend money just to say how shit is the product, but if I was not 100% satisfied with this Vizio XVT553SV would easily replaced by something else. The fact is I can not think of any other TV that offers the same features, image quality, etc. for the price. Some level of plasma can do the trick, but they put more heat, and suck more power. Vizio If this lasts for years without problems I would call perfect TV, and certainly buy Vizio TVs in the future.

VIZIO XVT3D554SV 55-inch 1080p 480Hz 3D LED HDTV with Full Array TruLED, Smart Dimming and VIZIO Internet Apps

Let me first preface this review with the fact that I have not bought the 3D glasses, so this review is everything else.

I asked my Sam's Club on a day that had free shipping, so I paid $ 1,999 more in taxes on sales. Purchased on 11 December.

Sharpness and image quality in 2D. Almost surprisingly, the image is very strong, the details pop. The color was obviously trash the store, as with any TV you want to ensure that the appropriate adjustments. Brightness to my factory was too high, and the colors were a bit off. If you do not want to go with a professional calibration for someone with the hardware to do this, a good base is to use a THX-certified DVD or Blu-ray out in the past year and find the THX Optimizer on the menus. Blacks are very black, not that kind of grayish black backlit obtained from the edge lit backlight or CCFL models. Very impressed with the level of black.

The TV has many inputs, HDMI sufficient to connect a lot of DVR, game system, htpc, etc. Even with audio inputs. You get an RGB input for PC audio with a 3.5 mm height, quite normal in a Vizio, but are not included in many of the systems of other manufacturers. Three USB ports that are currently useless (more on that later). A good thing to remember is that HDMI inputs are downfacing, so it is a decent option for wall mounting. Unfortunately, most of the audio inputs, and RJ45 Ethernet looking back.

The menu system is fairly simple design. You have the normal audio and video options, input selection, and things Internet applications. It's not terribly difficult to navigate and find what you're looking for. The game comes with a decent manual, and is easy to find on your website as well. I have not had the opportunity to use the Vizio technical support phone recently, but had used about two years to a set owned by my mother and they were great. It was a call center in California, not abroad, and the set was replaced with minimal discomfort. Hopefully they still have a great service, but also the hope of not having to use.

Internet Applications. These are virtually identical in design to all the major brands we offer. All standard features are there, and it works great. Amazon and Netflix HD streaming worked well, I have not seen any hiccups through the wireless connection for both the display last week. Pandora also works well. Wifi worked out of the box up to my home network because it has a cable connection.

I had no problems with the remote, I am a regular user of a sliding QWERTY smartphone, so I can only be me. The remote feels very light, which gives a quality feel kind of cheap but in my use of the sliding mechanism is solid and is not really complicated to use. The up / down / left / right would be better placed on the right side, but I can see why places like the buttons on the left red / blue / green / yellow on the right.

I've received in good condition, no dead pixels, no problems with the gray areas of darkness have seen a few others here have had. After using a couple of weeks I've had and the breaking of the time, I have seen no problem. As with other full-range backlight, there is a halo effect when you have a bright white text on a solid black. Wait until they have TVs that can control each LED separately, or when a sufficient number of control zones to reduce this effect. I have not had any problems with drink or something. Very fast response time.

The screen is bright. A lot of Vizio sets come with a matte screen, it does not. This affects some more than others. The configuration of my room in particular makes this not a problem, but your mileage may vary on this.

The panel is also brilliant, is not really a problem, but it shows fingerprints and dust more than a matte frame. This is a Vizio, not a samsung, so that the panel is very broad. Not really a problem for me, but if you're OCD about this kind of thing, something to note.

Some of the features you want included:
The use of USB ports. According to Vizio - the functionality is enabled in the future. The future is now and most other manufacturers now offer this feature of the box sets of similar price and range of models. Even with DLNA. Include it. That should be the norm on a set of $ 2k.

I can say that the HDMI inputs do not include the functionality of back-channel audio. I have a home theater and an HDMI going from my Denon receiver for the joint itself for my blu-ray, HTPC, etc works fine, but when the use of Internet applications and groups Vizio has the sound through the receiver I have to connect an extra cable for audio output from TV to receiver. This should be required to support the HDMI audio return patterns through the HDMI cable. The TV has both a red and white RCA style audio as well as a Toslink optical out style.

It really is a very well so far. These questions are very detailed. I did my research and I have seen many groups locally and read about other options. At the time of this writing, Samsung is not available backlight out 3D models, everything is illuminated by the songs, and good weather, I bought this game specifically for the full range of local dimming. Sony and hx909 LG LX9500 have the complete range of local sets of regulation. However, I could not find the set of Sony in any store within a decent price difference for the Vizio. The same goes for lg, were only significantly more expensive, and the wifi was a separate supplement for additional charge. I had also read several comments on the LG has problems with gangs. So I went with the Vizio for the price you get a lot of features, a full array of local dimming, and 3d. I am very happy with the election and not in any way regret the purchase.

UPDATE 06/01/11: As of this morning, Vizio has enabled the USB ports via firmware upgrade, are now accessible through the application through. Only show pictures and music from a USB drive, but no video.

VIZIO XVT3D474SV 47-Inch Full HD 3D Full Array TruLED with Smart Dimming LCD HDTV 480 Hz SPS with VIZIO Internet Apps

I've been in the market for a new TV about a year and has been waiting patiently for a decent price LED LCD as well as in 3D. This 47 "Vizio seemed to finally hit the price and size I was looking for, so I got on a sale of pre-Super Bowl to a wholesaler in the country. I took the TV with a pair of 3D glasses Vizio brand.

A quick note before going to my analysis. My TV comes with firmware version VIZIO_XP1.21.2.1.

Let me start by saying that the 2D image is absolutely amazing. The blacks are black and the colors are vibrant. Television hardly need any calibration box for those who like to modify the image. For those who do not know any better, you should be very happy the first time. Due to local regulations, I see no problems with backlight bleeding / clouding / flashlighting in my game. Also due to the 160 local areas of attenuation, I saw no sign of flowering in my game from my normal distance of about 8 '. The TV only shines quite well mastered Blu-ray. So far I've tested Avatar and surf, and that just blew my mind with this quality. I upgraded from a 4 year old 60hz and 1080p Blu-ray movies in this new Vizio is live all the new HD. I promise this is no exaggeration, I'm surprised by the clarity of the picture when fed first-rate, uncompressed signal.

The remote feels a bit cheap, but does the job. The sliding keyboard is great for Vizio Internet Apps (VAT) and the feature works as expected. The buttons are a bit stiff, but the same distance seems likely to break sometime in the future.

Motion control between this TV seems to be well done, the transitions are very smooth frame and I can say, without introducing artifacts or vibration. You can disable the motion control completely off if you do not like the "soap opera effect" as it is called. There are four settings for motion control "off", "Low" "Medium" and "High". Switching between "Off" and "Low" shows the desired effect, but so far I can not tell the difference between "Low", "Medium" and "High".

Vizio Internet applications are only acceptable to me, I have a lot of this functionality available through my Playstation 3 or Xbox 360. Currently no support for Youtube and Hulu on VIA with 3D versions of these televisions, which is a bummer. I hope to be added in a future firmware update, however, since the line has only XVT 2D. The application of Netflix worked fine, no problem here. For the curious, it seems to use the old interface of the PS3 implementation of disk-based Netflix, which is sufficient, but not the best of many iterations Netflix UI has arisen through multiple devices. The Facebook application seems quite useless to me, seemed to need navigation to see things as they wanted. The Twitter app seems very useful and shows the latest tweets followed directly on the "roof" to the interface through ... a nice touch. The application of time serves its purpose well and VUDU application was very well together, but still pales in comparison to the PS3 patch VUDU application. He does better in head to head comparison that the application of Netflix, though. I have not tried any other installed applications. All-in-all, I think the addition of VIA is a great complement to the television, but not a point of sale.

For 3D, which is the second I was most looking forward to this model. After giving a very complete test on different types of media, I think it just broke. The crosstalk / ghost is very bad for almost all the content I tried, rarely looks so great that I consider "watchable." The problem seems to be in high contrast screens, which includes almost everything you will attend, unfortunately. I'm a little biased glasses Vizio is the problem, since I am not convinced that they are sufficiently opaque when closed, but the problem could be any number of places. I'm trying to be silly and try to use along with a pair of sunglasses to see if that helps block unwanted light any extra for each eye, but even that helped, which is obviously not an acceptable solution.

I've tried several 3D games on, the channel n3D DirecTV, and offering free demonstrations available in 3D VUDU. The only time I saw something and had all forms of interference disappears with Super Stardust HD, some scenes of Toy Story 3 trailer, and almost every movie trailer animated Christmas Jim Carrey (mainly because it's very dark). Everything else has been pretty bad to me seems completely inaccessible.

I had thought of trying to adjust the picture settings when viewing 3D content to see if they could reduce or eliminate some of the interference, but Vizio that blocks almost all image settings, while in 3D mode. They only have access to color temperature, and perhaps another scenario, none of which did nothing to undermine the crosstalk.

Another note about this model for people with DirecTV, there is a known problem with ESPN 3D is not working. Vizio users trying to access ESPN 3D are greeted with a message that the TV does not support 720p in 3D and are unable to see. The problem is almost certainly hardware DirecTV, but from this post, I'm not sure he recognized that. Vizio is not an official manufacturer support 3D DirecTV, so they are not currently required to help make it work. Being aware of this.

In general, I love 2D, 3D, but is very safe. I just had the TV for a few days, but I am considering taking it again and get a refund. I have 90 days to make a decision, so he intends to call / email Vizio to see if the interference problem can be solved by glasses or a firmware update. I gave my opinion three stars, to partition the strengths and weaknesses in the middle. 3D is a great feature of this model simply does not work as expected. If somehow you can make the most of the issues resolved in 3D, I will change the opinion of five stars in a heartbeat.

In short, if you want to use 3D in this game, I would not consider.
